28th May 2010, Phnom Penh. Beeline Cambodia joins together with its sister Companies (in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Armenia) “1 GOAL program: Education for all”, UNESCO campaign.
The “1 Goal program” is worldwide campaign initiated by UNESCO in 1990 .The Kingdom of Cambodia joined this campaign in 2000. The objective of the campaign is to ensure that every child in the world has the opportunity to go to school by 2015.
From 20th of April till 11th of July 2010, twenty mobile operator groups in the World will participate in the 1GOAL campaign – coordinated by the GSMA, the global mobile industry group.
Collected votes will be transferred to GCE, the Global Campaign for Education http://www.campaignforeducation.org/en/about/members, to attract attention of countries’ leaders and society to the need for universal education. 2010, the FIFA, soccer world cup platform will provide a good
opportunity to reach out to a wider public than ever before with the message that the global community must act to make Education for All a reality.
